superbowl

men running about in shoulder pads and make up, trying to do bodily harm to each other while one guy is throwing things to another so they can run for their life after insulting each other while anti lgbt people are trying to take the fun out of the entertainment,

lgbt parade

men running about in shoulder pads and make up, having bitch slapping matchs, while throwing necklaces for other people to catch, while calling anti lgbt people, homophobes cos trying to take the fun out of it all....

mmm I think I will stick with NZ rugby

terminator impersonators dressed in uniforms, running around, doing bone breaking tackles, in pursuit of balls... while practising the fine art of the scrum ( google it ) which is well known to break necks, and getting involved in full on punch matches, then taking time out to get into the boxing ring to beat the shit outta another person legally....... and its all done without shoulder pads and make up :tong::tong::tong:

I put in that I will watch game and ads equally and I will be rooting for Pittsburgh. I want Pitt to win but I have the feeling Green Bay will take it. At least it won't be a blowout game.

i have never and will never watch superbowl. couldn't interest me less. men wearing padding and from the clips on the news, they hardly move -forever stopping - yawn. aussie rules (afl) however, men in short shorts and sleeveless shirts (all those gorgeous arm muscles), fast continual action, plenty of biff, gets the old blood pumping. even better than rugby union or league! go the hawks!!!

OMG I love you DD and you too Taylor and Gfofbiguy and umm yeah any lady that watches football is alright in my book, gives me extra opportunities for them to put on beer goggles. :tong:

Seriously, I will be watching. I never miss it, the ads are something I enjoy tremendously but the game is so much better if it is not a blowout. I enjoy the level of skill and the sheer amount of luck that just falls in place at times. I have some great memories of plays and they make a dreary season worth watching in case something good happens.

lol bizel... state of origin 1995...one of the best fights ever...... no shoulder pads, no helmets and bare knuckles...20 guys on the field and 15 of them going hard at it, fists and all....

oh for the days of wally lewis and mark geyer having the ref yell at them for fighting.... and as they walk away, they go back at it again lol

I am gonna watch a couple superbowls cos DD told me that we are gonna watch the superbowl when she is here.....lol.... but something tells me, they will never match the fury of SoO 95.....

hehe Aidan :) I feel the same as you about how I watch and why.

And babe? Damn right we'll find a way to watch if you don't enjoy the game at least I know you will enjoy the ads. But you seemed to like the clips of the game I sent you and you know I enjoyed the clips of rugby you sent me. See another reason we complete each other

i know they're trying to ban the biff, but i say bring it back. this is a war - the only war i will watch - like a guilty pleasure. if you're not man enough to walk out there and trounce and get trounced, then you shouldn't be on the field. i must have some caveman in me. i do love the speed of afl, but i still remember ray price parramatta eels grand final, spending half his time on the field going 'where am i?'. that may have been his last game - poor lost bugger - lol.

Of many of the matchups in the Super Bowl--I usually can pick a team I want to win--but in this case--I really cannot make up my mind since I feel about equally for each team---I don't love either team and I don't hate them--so it really doesn't matter to me--I have already decided---I am not watching the game this year---I am going to a place to listen to a really great local band play a gig--a place they don't have any TVs for distraction--so I guess I will find out on Monday who won the game.

I'm not into American Football at all. I find it too slow and wimpy. It probably has to do with me playing rugby back in Argentina. We'd play in the snow covered mud, no pads, no helmets. Compared to that the constant game interruptions that is American football bores me to death. If they picked up the pace I'd probably watch more of it.

That being said I'm heading to Long Beach for a friends Superbowl party. But me and some of the girls will go to some of the gay clubs down there friday or saturday so it will be a fun weekend. Plus seeing all those friends that live 5-6 hours away will be great.

What makes it more fun is that I have one of two bars to choose from: Sidelines (http://www.sidelinessports.com/) or Georgie's Alibi (http://www.georgiesalibi.com/wiltonmanors/wiltonmanors.html). I'm taking one of my co-workers (who's gay). This is his first Super Bowl party. :D

Superbowl?

Eh, I'll most likely be hunched over a workbench working on some cold-war fighter or another while listening to Sirius. Would someone be kind enough to re-post the commercials here?

I'll post some beefcake pictures of the players... There's a little something for everyone between the teams.

Clay Matthews III, Green Bay. Famous for his intense play and his shoulder length blond hair.

Someone on the forum said they had a crush on Hines Ward, Pittsburgh. Repeatedly noticed for his smile. :p Also very popular in Asia due to his partial Korean ancestry and charity work there. (http://www.koreanbeacon.com/2009/11/09/hines-ward-helps-biracial-children/)

And for dudes who are into Bears/beards . . .there's ... Brett Keisel. And his Beard.

I'd post Troy Polamalu's shirtless pic... okay, why not.

Thanks Taylor, they are still predicting Green Bay as winners on the odds lines we'll see how that plays otu as we get closer. Both teams are used to playing in cold weather so the recent storm shouldn't have much of an impact.

But you know... that's the way the Steelers like it. They've been predicted to lose so far. Why stop now? <shrug>

But as long as the Patriots aren't in it, I don't care who wins. . . I mean, I care... but. . .just look at Keisel's beard. :p
