I hadn't read the thread on jokes for a while, so I was wandering about, when I found a post by RebekaLee.
I thought it was going to be a funny video, but when I clicked on the link, I was really shocked... How can we be accepted, if we are brainwashed by the government, educational and religious institutions since we are kids? The message is to be aware of (sick in the mind) homosexuals, but the message could be extended to bisexuals, or anybody who doesn't fit in what they called "normal"...
They even say that homosexuality is contagious like other (!!!) diseases...
This is the link:

I'm thinking (/hoping) that this was made in jest. Probably something filmed more recently using old techniques, equipment or just dubbing over old footage meant for something else entirely. Notice how there is never any actual "homosexual" actions... the old creepy guy never grabs the kid or anything and the boy never acts like he's in any kind of trouble.
Even if this is serious... the old guy's got more going on than just being gay... try rapist, for one, if he supposedly picks up boys off the street unawares.
Anyway - and you'd prolly have to track down the poster's sources to be sure, but I think it was made to be jokingly over the top.

This video was asinine, but I wouldn't give it too much credence.
First of all, look at the clothes they're wearing. And the cars. And the homes and the quality of the video equipment (granted it probably lost some quality being put on YouTube). This clearly was made in the 1950s, not today. It was probably shown in schools between The Importance of Segregation and The Commies Kill and Eat Their Own Children. Now sadly, I think large parts of society still believe the types of stereotypes this newsreel pushes- mostly states south of Virginia. Then again, I'm sure many of the same people believe that hiding under their desks during an air raid will do something to protect them.
I wouldn't say that the current administration is too much better than this though.

To me the man seemed more like a child molester then anything. Picking up young boys that are hitch hiking has nothing to do with having an intimate homosexual relationship. I laughed at how stupid it was! But either way...be safe and stay away from the homosexual......LMAO!

Reefer Madness was pure propaganda to show how evil pot was. Now it's a comedy. This had to have been made as a parody on the old films and stereotypes that have been made about bisexuals. If you don't like what's considered "normal" sex then you must be a deviant. There are way more deviants in the world then "normal" in that case.

Sid Davis Productions released the film Boys Beware in 1961. The part of the homosexual was played by Sid Davis himself according to a Wikipedia entry. There is a problem, however, in that the Wikipedia account has a different story line. There may have been more than one version of Boys Beware.

Turns out there's also a Girls Beware (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fAKo-i4jpQ&search=boys%20beware). Sadly, it doesn't deal with lesbianism. I was actually about to make a joke that we need an equal opportunity version of this starring Anne Hache & Dakota Fanning when I turned this up in a chance search.
Moral of this one? Girls + car = rape + murder.
Goes to show they should just stay in the kitchen and pop out kids. :2cents:
Joking relax!!

Thank you, NightHawk for giving the details. I hadn't had time to look for them, but I was almost certain that the video clip was authentic, as I have seen some others similar from that period.

Thank you very much for giving the link to the full 10 minutes version, JrzGuy3.

I also thank you for giving the link for the version for the girls, JrzGuy3.
Well, if they were released at the beginning of the 60's, it means that some of the people here in this site could have already seen them when they were younger, or if not, your parents, or maybe your grandparents.
I guess that if you are here, you didn't let this propaganda settle in your minds as true, so still there is some hope for the ones that took it as true.
First, it seems that the men are always the baddies... lol. I found Girls Beware a reasonable warning for different situations girls could encounter.
Nevertheless I'm totally opposed to the Boys Beware. They say that homosexuals are people sick in the mind and probably murderers. I wouldn't oppose it, if it were made like the girls' one, promoting not to trust strangers, because there could be dangers or situations where they could suffer physical or emotional damage.
No wonder, I think, that people that have seen these video clips in their youth, think that homosexuals (and we, bisexuals) are sick people.
I hope that with so much information as today can be accessed by different means, things could change in the near future, not only in accepting us, but in understanding and seeing us as as "normal" as they are...
All the best,

have to agree with nighthawk here, i remember this one as part of my DoD school health class ciricula... and, yeah i think there was a girl's version too, but in the 60's we were still segregated , boys from girls, by law, especially in the gov't run schools.
too bad this video was really and truly made with our parents' tax money to 'educate" our children.

I do not think I was ever shown this film in health class, but it has the look and feel of the kind of clips that were shown in high school health classes in the early 60s that I do remember. I do not recall homosexuality (let alone bisexuality) ever being discussed in any of my health classes. I think it was thought that the best protection with respect to almost anything sexual then was ignorance or, worse than ignorance, learning from your friends about sex. They, of course, actually knew next to nothing, but often pretended to know much more than they did. Generally, this is still the route to "knowledge" that most young people seem to prefer.

As a child the great government of ontario had all these great comercials on the television telling me about all the cheap renewable resourse called hydro electricity that we should use( carte blance )because it was free .So now i get a penalty for using to much of it. So point is only your mom tells the truth.
So why does it cost so much?
Well 5 trucks to pull 1 wire =8 men/woman
all 5 trucks running 8 hours non stop
I heard of people going postal but i might go hydro.................

To borrow a line from Shawshank Redemption (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/quotes):
In order to be homo (or hetero) sexual, you first need to be human. They don't qualify.
