Wow, the price of Cilais has doubled in the past year. I have no idea why it's not covered by insurance. ED is a medical condition after all. I started splitting them to help with the cost. Still works.

I am lucky in that my health plan (BCBS) does cover and have a co-pay for ED prescriptions. My blood pressure meds are the culprit causing my ED and I sometimes need a "boost" to get past having only a semi-hard erection. I'm also lucky I can easily cum via masturbation or stimulation from a partner while semi-hard or even very soft. I'd hate to have to take a pill just to be able to jerk off LOL but I do want them handy when I am with a lover. I used Viagra prior to it being covered by my health plan. It was 20 bucks per pill. It came down to 14 bucks per pill after it became covered by my plan. My cardiologist informed me that there was a generic for Levitra which was less than half the price of Viagra and I switched to it. It worked as well as Viagra, but it caused my face to redden and flush and gave me a slight head rush a few minutes after taking it. I also had headaches after it wore off. I hadn't experienced any side effects with Viagra. I bore the side effects for several years because it was much cheaper than Viagra. Then, miracle of miracles, the Viagra co-pay came down to the same price as the generic Levitra. I had my cardio doc switch me back to the blue 'V'. I quarter the 100mg pills and find that 25 mg is more than sufficient for my erectional needs LOL. I have heard many good things about Cialis. Since I don't have a significant other and don't need to always be ready for spontaneous sex, Cialis would not be practical for me even if it were as cheap as Viagra.
When I have a playdate, I know in a just minute or so of play if my cock is going to rise to full mast or not. That's when Viagra rides to my rescue if my cock is not responding to stimulation. I just take a quarter of a pill and am rock hard in 5 to 10 minutes of foreplay. My advice would be that unless you and/or your significant other frequently want spontaneous sex, switch to the temporary fix of Viagra or Levitra if it's much cheaper. Even if you have to wait 15-30 minutes for it to take effect, there's plenty of delicious things you can do as foreplay before it REALLY needs to be hard and it will seem like only 5 minutes until it is raging hard ;)

You might ask your doctor if he has samples he can give you. My experience is only with Viagra, but when I spoke with the doctor about it many years ago he left the room and came back with a couple 5 ct. boxes for me to take home- no charge.

I recently went to my urologist for a routine visit. I asked him about Cialis, as Viagra gives me redness in the face, clogs my nose (like allergies), gives me headaches, changes my vision, and Cialis does none of the above. Not only is Cialis $ 40.00 a pill but he said "I'd give you some samples, but they no longer even provide samples of Cialis"..... he warned me about the price as well advising me to be wary of the online "Canadian" pharmacies, many of which are selling outdated, generics labeled as the original drug, or outright placebo pills !!
As I am on heart meds from a few stents some years ago, I sometimes (thankfully not always) experience ED. Not always, but sometimes, due to the blood pressure meds and statin drugs I am on. He asked me if I used Nitroglycerin. I said no, but he warned me anyway that if you use ED meds and get chest pain during sex and then you use Nitro for Angina, you could immediately have a stroke ! Good to know...

Yes, just like the TV commercials always warn, you should not take ED meds if you also use drugs that have any nitrates in them. Poppers are amyl nitrate, so definitely don't use them to enhance your experience if you are using any ED med. There are all kinds of strokes and deaths cause by poppers & ED meds. No rush is worth that.

The drug industry is an immoral cartel. I have seen generic drugs jump 600 % in price in a single bound. The drug industry owns (your?) politicians, so their immoral activity is made legal and we do nothing but complain and whine about being ripped-off.

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive source for Viagra or Cialis, if you know someone that is going on a trip south of the border(Mexico), you can get inexpensive ED treatments there. You can get the generic Viagra for about $4/pill. Otherwise, if your prescription plan does not cover it right off, if you contact the insurance company they might be able to help you get it covered. Your Dr will be sent information about your condition and the plan might cover it from there. As was mentioned-you can cut the pills. So if your Dr prescribes 50mg, ask the Dr to write it for 100mg and cut the pill in half. You would get twice the # of pills for your one price.

Thankfully I can still get my cock up hard and cumming, even though I take blood pressure meds. If I were to lose the ability to get it up though--I guess I'd just accept it because I surely do not want to take any of these ED pills. It is bad enough that I take BP meds---it is one thing to deal with the inevitable side affects relating to BP meds since it is necessary to take them, but not worth the side effects of ED meds since even though life may not be as much fun if you cannot get your dick hard anymore, it is not really, when you come down to it, something necessary for life to go on if your cock no longer gets a boner. As long as you can still piss out of the thing without too much pain----that is fine--it seems like aging pretty much means that things that never used to hurt now do and that they start to give out on you……this song puts it pretty well the travails of getting to be an old fart…..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_veXTlJ-Q0M

"If you cannot get your dick hard anymore, it is not really, when you come down to it, something necessary for life to go on"
I respectfully disagree. In a relationship sex is not just for fun. It is a vital part of an emotional connection. My wife can no longer self lubricate nor orgasim through intercourse. Her desire for sex is almost non existent, yet she still loves to make love to me for the closeness. It's still very much part of our lives.

The drug companies are robbers and they got the congress to co-sign their crime. Their is no reason for the high cost. It was supposed to go genetic, but they got that rolled back. As for insurance, it would be nice if the US was a modern country and cared about the health of the people rather than the profit of the corporations. Yes it is mostly one party responsible for this.
