ok, i've seen references both here in linked articles and other places [ media, take your pick] to abercrombie and fitch clothing being used as "GAY CODE".
had tossed this thru emails to sevral folks here, and we've not been able to come up with a definitive answer.
so, is there anyone here who is willing to tell me, and anyone else who reads this and is interested, if there truly is an "abercrombie" code? clueless ones would like to know. :flag3:

I'm bi, and I dress in K mart Modern. I like the "Regular Guy" look. I look like a 40 year old Monty Capuletti from Easy Money, with Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Pesci, and I sometimes act like that, too. As for respect? never got any, never will. The knowledge that there is still ONE man in this world who is willing to call em as he sees em is respect enough. And once Professor Chuck Stone called me "An Honest Man". THAT"S respect

Some gay boys might want you to think AF is gay code, but it is not. AF is popular with some gay men because their stuff is usually pretty good quality and fitted. So if you have some muscle tone and wanna show it off, their t-shirts are probably going to look good on you.
Their brand is synonamous with young and fit, which of course is the motto of mainstream gay culture. So naturally they would want to claim it as "theirs".
I have some of their stuff and can honestly say I don't become gay when I put it on.
