Just this week, I've been feeling not right. I work in a kitchen. I get a meal everyday I work. I don't eat the shit on the menu, fuck that shit. I'm big on doing up salads with bits of maybe shrimp or teriyaki chicken or something. Or I'll do up one of my Asian Scrambles(eggs with bok choy or cabbage, few peppers, garlic/ wee bit of ginger with a bit o soy, no meat) or something. Point is, I cook good food for myself at work and home. Nothing deep fried as a general rule. My belly's been hurting on and off like fuck. Deep within. I've dramatically eased off coffee in the last week or two, and I'm not putting horsepills of fumurate salt (Seroquel, I just take a wee bit now and then as a sleep aid) in there either. Haven't even had any alcohol for a few weeks. Everything should be fine, but it ain't. I'll feel like this when I'm hungry, I eat, and I still hurt. The only thing that makes it ease off is drinking some milk which I suppose sorta coats my tripe (I know I'm not an ox, but run with it). I'm also starting to get weak feeling when it flares up. My immediate thought, of course is schedule an appt. My other immediate thoughts are bloodsugar (as drinking something a bit sweet like juice, maybe a little tea (no soda) makes the weakness subside. My other thought, the one that scares me, is Ulcer. Any thoughts from some of you who might have had a similar experience? Thank Goddess for my Ipod, otherwise I'd be a miserable little man right about now. I am, actually, that's what compelled me to post this. Because I'm worried, the nurse of the house is asleep and I prolly won't be able to see the dr. til monday. Oh, best part? No insurance :(

Well, the milk thing sounds like an ulcer, but I don't think that's what we're dealing with here. An ulcer wouldn't cause the weakness you described. Would help if you could identify a little more precisely where it hurts & describe the pain piercing, throbbing, aching, what? What you've described here is vague enough to be anything from indigestion to lactose intolerance to kidney stones.

Center of belly, about 3 inches above the navel. probably about halfway back, maybe deeper. throbbing. comes and goes, occasionally VERY intense. Been happening nearly a week, but now it's finally to where I can't ignore it. I'm gonna fucking sue Astrazeneca if Seroquel fucked up my body. I am from a family of lawyers, and not at all ignorant of the process. Some kids dads take them fishing. I got to go to court all over Baltimore and DC.

Have you noticed any kind of pattern as to when the pain kicks in? Does movement effect it? food? lifting? If you'd rather talk about this on IM I have yahoo

For anybody who comes across this later on, don't worry all is well. I didn't think to ask Az if it was okay to post (confidentiality and all) til after he'd signed off but under the circumstances I think it'll be cool. We talked, I asked him a few questions and we came to the conclusion that ist's just a little acid reflux.
