We are X-posting this on behalf of well-know Bisexual-identified LGBT writer William E. Burleson (http://www.bi101.org) who is looking for input on a piece he is writing for Lavender Magazine (http://lavendermagazine.com/).

People wishing to respond to this topic should contact Mr. Burleson directly at: billburl (at) earthlink (dot) net (billburl@earthlink.net)

While primarily a US-focused piece, all people from anywhere are invited to write in with their thoughts. Please just indicate the country you are writing from.

Hi gang!

I'm writing an article on bis and politics for Minnesota's Lavender Magazine (http://lavendermagazine.com/). The editor wants a story exploring how the bi community is seen in the political world. I sure could use your help!

To our allies, are we seen as a part of a greater GLBT community fighting for our rights, or are we seen liability to the gay and lesbian community?

Are we used as scapegoats?

To our enemies, are we seen as just more of the same with gay and lesbians, or are we a special group to single out?

How about the trans community?

Are we considered at all?

Any input you have would be most appreciated!

Thanks!

We are seen as the panacea for all that ails western culture, and the nemesis of all that is good in the east. At the equator bi's are known to tan more evenly.
