Windoze logging out on this site.

Does anyone else have this problem?
I take my Windoze disk, erase it completely (by installing LINUX), then reinstall Windoze.
Every time I log into this web site, within a few minutes of logging in, I find myself logged out.
Even if I start entering a message, if I take more than 3-5 minutes, when I finish the message, the site will require me to log in again...
All site functions that require login... a login lasts only 3-5 minutes.
Anyone else?
Ideas?

It's probably a Linux conflict with the site.

We have never had any issue with it due to windows, but then, we also do our internet on Mozilla Firefox, too.

Could be a firewall problem. Check your windows firewall and make sure it's not blocking anything. TCP/IP sends a series of acknowledgment packets back and forth. It sends a packet to establish a connection and then waits for a reply packet. If the reply is blocked, it may close the connnection. It's something to check. It's been a couple years since I dealt with this stuff. Does it do it with other sites?

Otherwise, I dunno. I'm a Unix guy. I try to avoid windows when I can.

I have used Linux for years. Never had a problem like that. Not sure what "windoze" is. But, sounds like maybe it might be a cookies problem. Try Mozilla Firefox. You might like it better.

Windoze = MS Windows, currently XP.
Whether Windoze or LINUX, I use FireFox/Mozilla.
LINUX doesn't log out on me.

Yep, I've had this happen to me on this site, which I initially out down to cookies expiration times. However, on another site built with PHP, it occasionally happens as well, so I would put it down to PHP and its scripting of cookies; the choice of browser seems to be irrelevant, though having said that I think that tabbed browsers seem to exacerbate the issue

If it was a server side issue it would be happening to everyone.
