On Sunday-I went to what is just about my favorite spot on "God's Green Earth"----a very special place I have talked about before on here I think--a place called Rabbit Hash, Kentucky.
The place is about 30 or so miles south of Cincinnati in northern Kentucky and sits along the Kentucky shore of the Ohio River---it is a historic place with the main part of it being The Rabbit Hash General Store that has been in continuous operation since 1831.
Going to Rabbit Hash is a bit like taking a trip in a time machine back to a simpler time in America. A number of musical groups playing "roots" type music ranging from Blues to Bluegrass and Rock-A-Billy play gigs there--on this day--a local cajun music dance band was playing.
Of course--I have to take pictures of the band and with the place being very interesting--I have to take photos of all the bric-a-brac you find in the store.
So YA"ALL--hope ya like taking a little stroll back in time and enjoy these pics:

The management recently built a shelter to house four porta-johns-two for men and two for ladies--the structure is made to make you think you are going into an outhouse--the old abandoned one is still there--but converted into a wood shed for the woodstove that heats the store---someone decdide he had to say he was there--that caused the owners to post this note:
