I don't blame her for being pissed...but what ever happened to wanting to speak to the manager...
I called Papa Johns once and asked for a customer service number to complain. I also asked to speak to the manager. In minutes I was speaking to the manager, getting 2 free pizzas, and getting 25 percent off of my next purchase...
heeellloooo....lot easier than going balistic and calling the cops lol.

Now, now, YoungAndExotic, stupidity is not the sole property of Americans. Let's not start off with turning this into an inflammatory thread....that was far from my intent in posting it. People do stupid things all over the world...this was just a recent event that caught my eye...plain and simple.
And yes, Rissa...I do see her point in being angry over being refused a refund...but to call 911?? She could have just as easily asked for a manager as you suggested....or simply filing a report....but it was far from an emergency and took away much needed personnel to satisfy her hunger for Nuggets! LOL! OMG...I just thought of something...I ordered a Happy Meal for my grandson the other day and they had run out of toys for the under 3 meals....they offered me a cookie instead which I happily accepted...but who knew that I could have gotten myself on national TV had I only called 911??

Seriously, all of the fast food places mess up our food SO much that if I did what she did I'd have fines more costly than what Bill Gates could afford...

If this post offends anyone, sorry, but dammit I'm tired of my fellow people of "shade" embarrassing the entire group over dumb ass shit like this!
Another case of ignorant, uneducated trash.
I hate to say this, but it is true... there has been an incessant rash of 'certain cultures of people' calling 911 over fuckin FAST FOOD. It's starting to piss me off, because theres these humans in this country who associate ignorant behavior with certain types of people ALL THE TIME. You never hear of folks from the trailer pulling this kind of shit.
For example... did ya hear the one about the guy who called 911 over a fkkn Subway "sammich"?!?!? Here's the YouTube link:
Fkkn Dumbass! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZCXoU31tuQ)

Well I hate to say this, but Id probably feel like that woman did, theyre stealing her money if they take her money and dont give her the product and wont return her money. Now, have you ever tried to find a local police department non emergency number? It can be frustrating to say the least. They should make all non emergencies have a number like 119 lol make it easy to call quick when someones life isnt at stake
Then again, you might be hearing on the news that she returned to that mcdonalds for revenge to... you just never know about some of these people.
By the way, the woman did state that it was a manager who was telling her she couldnt have her money back.

By the way, the woman did state that it was a manager who was telling her she couldnt have her money back.
If you notice, the article says it was a cashier that was trying to clear things up with her, when the 911 operator asked if there was a manager there the woman initially said no...and then in the next breath started saying that the girl said "she was the manager or something"....
so yeah...i don't think she talked to a manager...and if she did...I think she was way to confused to realize what people were saying or doing...considering that the video of her call didn't match up with some stuff of the article and kinda didn't really make a lot of sense to me....

Its not like they were refusing to serve her, they were offering her something else instead.
I agree that it is f*cked that they wouldn't give her a refund, and I would have been pretty pissed off myself in that same situation.
A couple weeks ago, my friend and I went to this deli, and they were out of what we usually get, and we got this version of it that was more expensive. He spent about 10 minutes arguing with the store people b/c he felt that they should charge us for the cheaper one, b/c its not our fault they ran out of it. I felt that he was over reacting a little bit, but he did save me a buck or two.

Hey Vitt, I wouldn't sweat it too much there. I think you could have just summed it up with one statement.
Another case of ignorant, uneducated trash.
Ignorant, uneducated trash... it comes in all packaging!
I can understand this woman being upset, however there are much better ways of solving this sort of problem as has been discussed here already.

I had a really funny fast food experience here a couple weeks back as well. The short of it was I was quite rudely told that they were only going to allow one packet of sauce per item at a local Taco Bell. Now, I had ordered a Mexican pizza meal, which 3 packet of sauce just doesn't cut it. Well, since the worker didn't seem too interested in telling me that nicely *That and nearly turned me away on a drink just moments earlier since their Mt Dew machine in the lobby was broken, and she was shouting at the other worker who helped to not worry about my drink because the machine was broken and help her*
I ended up giving her a piece of my mind for about 2 minutes, and I didn't hold back on anything. Anyhow, the other girl ended up giving me the sauce I needed for my meal. Of course, while leaving , the worker who pulled that was cleaning the dining room. I went back to the counter and said to the other worker and said "Thanks for trying to rectify the situation... *I then turned my head and raised the volume of my voice so the worker and anyone in the dining room could hear* ... UNLIKE SOME SAUCE NAZIS! I then walked on out.
It was really quite funny in hindsight. The moral is, don't fuck with a man and his tacos. :D

I'm tired of my fellow people of "shade" embarrassing the entire group over dumb ass shit like this!
Why have you decided to make this issue "shade" sensitive? People aren't so idiotic as to take the behaviour of a particular individual and make it emblematic of a whole group.
Your attitude (or Altitude) has the effect of unnecassarily placing the members of a particular social group in the dock, collectively and individually, for a personal aberration that nobody else thinks any of them responsible.
Such comments can only fail to defend any "fellow people of shade", as you describe them, as there is no defence for any such persons to make.
I hope you will agree that while I have made critical comments to you I have done so reasonably.

Vitt-honey, we werent making light of a color issue, we were just making fun of the ignorance of Some people. Race isnt an issue here. We would have make comments even if the person in question had been white or another color, so why the upset?

Thanks for seeing where I was coming from ... however...
Its nothing I need to feel better about. I found it humorous. Ignorance is bliss... which is why there are so many blissfully ignorant MFers roaming around being allowed to breathe.

For the record Vitt - I don't always agree with everything you say - which is perfectly normal - you wouldn't want me to and I wouldn't want you too either - But I did get the humor that you were conveying in this thread. Richard Pryor (Rest in Peace Richard) was a huge hero of mine. I could absolutely hear him "going off" onstage about these idiots. Stupid - has nothing to do with race - it knows no color and Richard was great at bringing that out. Sorry many didn't see that - But thanks for making me remember Richard and have a good chuckle none the less - The man was a genius! Just my :2cents: LW

I am feeling the pain on that one. Our education system and the parents of these idiots have failed them all.
I never would have thought to call 911 over something that trivial. And if they didn't want to give me my money back, they could always file a police report and charge the manager with theft. offering someone something that they don't want in place of what the store offered is called a "bait and switch", even if they ran out of that particular product.
But calling 911 for that is still way over the top.

Fort Pierce Woman Calls 911 3 Times After McDonald's Runs Out Of Nuggets
POSTED: 6:47 pm EST March 4, 2009
FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- She's been called "McNut" by TMZ.com and "loco 4 pollo" by PerezHilton.com.
Now, after becoming an Internet sensation for calling 911 three times to report an emergency after McDonald's had run out of McNuggets, a Fort Pierce woman said Wednesday she is embarrassed by all the media attention.
"I'm embarrassed to show my face in public," Latreasa Goodman told WPBF News 25's Alexis Rivera one day after her McNugget meltdown was first reported
