I for one was enjoying her hormone free thread and all the other threads it inspired. She seemed to be an interesting individual, and I enjoyed reading her posts. I hope that if someone is in contact with her outside of our site that they will let her know that there are those of us that will miss her. Also let her know that, as the song says, one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch. We would like her to come back and visit with us, woouldn't ladies and gents?

Yes, I thought she was OK, too. Wonder what happened?

Sometimes platforms for communication such as this can bring out the worst in people. The anonymity of it allows people to vent their feelings and say things that they might not other wise say. It also provides an opportunity for getting away with personal attacks on people, deserved or not. I suppose that there are a lot of very sensitive individuals who have difficulty dealing with all that and are unwilling or unable to ignore the bad parts and just look at the more postive aspects of it.

I understand it because there have been times when I have sworn to myself that I would never come back in here again. But I think that what I learn in here makes it ultimately worth putting up with the negative aspects.

I hope Brutal Priestess reconsiders and comes back. We need people like that.

I agree....her perspective was interesting and thought prevoking.

This site is interesting because of the wide variety of people who are members. Please do not be scared away by some of the bad apples.

:) For some reason or another!?!?!? I got this bird sitting on my sholder telling me that, they will be back because right now they are (not knowing how else to describe it) having a "idenity crisis", if you will call it that, and they will be back soon, and at the same time they never really left either?!?!?! Am I making sense yet? NO? Well then go back and very carefully read their comments, or replies and maybe it will make sense to ya then.... OK?

Just thought I would warn ya. Your friend,.,., :doggie:

I think I am catching the drift of what Doggie is trying to say----these days--with all the "trolling" we have had of late---and with the favorite modus operandi of the troll or trolls being to assume a vast number of "personalities" on here---it is now hard to take at face value, at least for me, that many of those who come here anymore---are always what they purport to be--and I do have to be circumspect of all these posts we get from "new people" that ask people to divulge their deepest sexual fantasies and such--with many of those who post on those threads also being new people----I unfortunately have to urge a healthy degree of skepticism about new people who come to the site and be leery of what these "new people" post up.

For all we know--BrutalPriestess, as cool and Ok as she might have seemed--could have been yet one more troll personality---in this case---the troll in question actually trying to be somewhat decent----but they just could not stand to be that way for long--at least BrutalPriestess didn't go from being pretty cool to being another freakazoid!!!

This is not actually an answer to your individual post Volty, just yours mentions a lot of things that others have said. I may get castigated for this, but the first post I saw by Brutal Priestess, in which she (or he), said that they knew Azrael. I looked at the avatar and read the post again and then thought....I think this is Azrael. Brutal Priestess went on to open lots of threads, which was happening a few weeks ago. Now I'm not saying that the person was Azrael and it doesn't bother me if she (he) is....but the avatar was of the type Azrael likes to use.

Whoever the person was, if the threads are worthy of contributing to, that is all that matters to me and I haven't seen anything offensive or insulting posted by this person. So come back, if you want to.

she was someone who was a myspace friend of Azrael or what ever
we call him (Tom Mitchell is his real name apparently). her pic was on his myspace. i think she came here through seeing his comments about this site but wasn't a troll. In fact i think she quite liked the place. She definitely wasn't
our troll. So we should welcome her back. Those who remember Dark Eyes will welcome the controversial but reasonable Priestess..

That is interesting to read. Let all who enjoyed her posts get their wish that she will return. I am sure that whatever anyone says, there will be another person, who not liking what is said, will say that they are a troll. Probably the three billy goats gruff, who have to cross the bridge, which the troll guards. All views being worthy, no names need be given to people, just either a like or dislike of the content of their posts. If Brutal Priestess feels as if she has something more to contribute, she'll be back. All posts are relevant and add some decorum to the forum. We can censor, as individuals, what we don't like.

...um...Volty? I hate to say it, but I think you've got trolls on the brain.

Of course, *anyone* could be "the troll"...for all you know, I could be "the troll", and for all I know, you could be.

But this kind of trolling for trolls (and speculating about every friggin person who says or does something that isn't what you might have done) is distinctly unhelpful for raising the level of dialog in here, or improving the atmosphere for newbies (or for the rest of us).

Yeah, I hope Tess comes back, 'cause she seemed to be fun. But given her abrupt and dramatic disappearance, she also has issues to work through. She could be a force of good, a force of evil, or simply a force of fun. Let's just leave it at that, shall we?
