Here's a dumb one for ya... I am among those who like to see the nether regions neatly trimmed at the very least, and preferably clean shaven and smooth as a baby's butt....

Currently I trim as close as I can with my electric beard trimmer (it never touches my actual facial hair...lol) but draw the line at using an actual RAZOR on my privates.... have had "nicks" there before, and the idea of sharp objects around sensitive areas makes me more than a little squeamish.

I am currently considering the hair removal creams... anyone use these with any level of success? I have tried that kind of thing once before years ago and it burned like hell and didn't want to do it ever again, but then I might have used the wrong stuff, who knows.

I see that there are now seemingly hundreds of "depilatory cremes" out on the market.... which of course means there are about half of them that dont work or dont work well.

Girls..guys...?

Okay, strictly from a female point of view, if there were depiliatories that worked well don't you think more women would use them on their bikini line? I know that they used a sort of almond paste back in medieval Middle East, I would love to find something like that. Til then, I use a razor and just be careful. My male partner uses a razor and hasn't had any issues. Now and then of course you get ingrown hairs, but that would happen no matter what method you used.

Most of the depliatory cremes out there and even the home wax kits are made for the legs. They work well, well the cremes like Nair but the wax leaves something to be desired and let's face it they give you a little bottle of numbing lotion for afterwards so you already KNOW it's gonna hurt.

If you don't mind the expense just go to a hair removal place and ask for a brazilian wax. That's complete hair removal from genitals and anus area. Just remember when you go "ouch" try to do it in a manly way.

Like you, my electric trimmer thing.

(BTW - a 'bush-wacker' sounds more like something Australians would use to kill kangaroos...)

(if you saw how bad my "bush" looks if left unattended for two weeks, you would understand... lol)

I am not at all afraid to admit that I do some regular man-scaping to keep things neat and tidy, but it is starting to sound like that perfectly smooth "porn look" is only gonna happen on a porn set...

Ok, this is one subject I have plenty of experience with, lol.

I stay completely hairless from my eyes down.

I have used everything except waxing to remove the hair down there.

For the most part I use a razor and tons of care and caution, (even then I do get a nick now and again), the hair removal creams work pretty good, but for me I use Veet, Nair burns me anywhere I use it.

Veet works well and lasts much longer than shaving, but be warned, if you put it on yer nuts keep yer leg spread until itis time to rinse it off and make damn sure you don't leave it on too long, IT WILL BURN YOUR SACK.

Always test whatever product you are going to use before hand on a small area to make sure you are not allergic, or that your skin is not too sensitive for it.

Like I said, Nair is just too harse for me personally, Veet is much better and even that is hard on my skin, which is why I mostly use a razor for day to day maintenance, but if I have a date then I will use the Veet to make sure I am as smooth as possible for him..

The ingrown hairs is not much of an issue if you go hairless and STAY hairless, it takes time for your skin to get used to it, but if you keep it smooth over time it will stop itching and you will have fewer bumps and ingrown hairs.

I have been completely hairless from my eyes down for 3 years now, and even still there is nothing like stepping out of the tub with a fresh shave, mmmmmmm.

With the private area and the anus you can safely shave that just go slow, and be careful, worse case you will get a small nick here and there, just remember what ya did wrong and don't do it again, lol.

Good luck

Samantha

I used a BodyGroom to trim nice and short. Considering a cream for my stomach though. . .

Nair, Neet, ect? No,No,and, No! Some of those can burn you so bad that its not Even funny. Go to one of the grooming places and have it done professionally like Duckie's Darling said. You can also get one of those small epilady razors and be verrry gentle in your trimming. You can also try the "Sugaring" method...but I'm not sure where to steer you toward for that...
Just be careful whichever way ya go, Sweetie. Ya dont want any major owies in that area,..trust me. ;}

Well I just lie between a friend's legs making Baaa Baaa noises while the clippers are used. There is currently enough spare hair to make a mattress or several jumpers.

Awww, c'mon people, loose those razors!!! I like hair!!! So sexy! A nice hairy chest to curl up in on my man drives me wild, same for the pubes down there on both men and women. Trim, sure, if you must, but please don't shave.

And I use Veet on my back. Three minutes and it's done. No burning at all. Nice and smooth. Twice a year is usually enough as I'm not too hairy.

well for me I kep the kooch trimmed in the winter cause its damn cold here and it needs a little extra warmth in the winter months. But I shave it completely in the summer...other wise it gets sweaty, and itchy, and smelly, ect. just general nastyness. So the Kitty gets a summer shave to cool off.

I mostly use shick Intuition razors which lather and shave in one motion, no messing with stupid shaving creams that take time and hot water. Just easier. I use to use a real good hair remover cream that didnt burn at all but I cant remember the name...but it smelled nice and was popular like 5 or 6 years ago. hope that helps.

When I first started to shave down there, it was more a case of, better all off then it always falling all over the floor every time I went to the toilet.I started with an el-razor, but soon gave that away due to too much blood all over the floor, so now I use a normal razor, never nicked again, but most of the time, my wife do it for me, she truely enjoys it, so do I.

This is one thing I do know something about. DO NOT use hair removal creams on your pubes. They are way too harsh for your pubes. Yes I tried them and burned my skin badly.
I went to a local nudist resort and talked with a couple of people about this. They suggested using a "Clean Cut" razor made in Japan by SEIKOS. I found a place that sells them and I ordered one six years ago. It is still going good. and I also use it on my face since my Norelco bit the dust. It uses one "C" cell battery and they last about four months.
I use it every day for best results. I did get a cheep trimmer to catch the wild hairs that the Clean Cut would miss. I am amazed that it has lasted this long.
I don't like a mouth full of hair and my Friends appreciate my smoothness.
Keep it smooth and clean.

I agree that most cremes are made for leg and under-arm hairs, but there are some that are specificly made for "bikini area" and one would think it would be safe if used properly.

I guess I just need to find the right kind of razor. (scary) I currently use a Gillette Fusion, seems to work well on my face, a bit pricey tho.
Now they have a newer version (Gillette) that is supposed to be even better, and more likely more expensive.

I havent tried the lady razors mentioned before with the creme stuff on the razor itself... that may be an option. I could always buy some "for my wife" and see if *she* likes them as much as *I* do.

She is quite hairy down there as well, and it is a bit of a situation for me at times. (phtuey) She is heavy-set also, again making it harder for her to shave.

I dont mind shaving her though. ;) This might be a good way to talk her into shaving me at the same time.

I still would like to try a good creme if anyone has any thoughts, sounds like Veet is the best so far.

I use an electric razor that came with multiple tops. I think the "beard" top is the one I use to cut the hair down really short then the "normal" top like the kind you use on your face is what I use to smooth it out. I love how my cock feels after it's freshly shaved.

That is pretty much the method I use right now, beard trimmer then electric razor, but still not the perfectly smooth I am looking for... I just cant afford to have my junk "professionally" plucked/laser treated.

I use an epilator. I have one for my legs and one for my kooshsta. I still shave my pits because an epilator hurts a lot for the first 2 wks until you make it manageable and I haven't had the guts to go there. If I get behind on keeping hairless, I go for a brazilian wax and start again.

The downside, you must use the epilator in the direction of hair growth or it may not remove the hair…so to be completely hairless from the waist down takes about 45 mins. As I said before, starting on something that is pretty hairy is brutal…get a wax and then epilate every 3 to 10 days depending on how fast the hair returns…the key is to remove it before it fully grows in so that you are only removing 20-30% of hair at any time…much less painful.

Good luck!

other than exceptionaly clean, and some trimming dependent on personal needs or fashionable necessisty, i go for hair down there; the smooth as a baby's bum is a total turnoff!

Bumping back to the top... seems to be several topics on this subject, sounds to me like someone needs to start an instructional video/webpage or something ! LOL

PLEASE !?!?
